What The Bible Says...

... About Attending Church

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as
the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and
so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

-Hebrews 10:25

"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord
Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that
there be no divisions among you; but that ye be
perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the
same judgment."

-I Corinthians 1:10

"And when he had found him, he brought him unto
Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they
assembled themselves with the church, and taught
much people. And the disciples were called Christians
first in Antioch."

-Acts 11:26

Dear friend,
Attending church is something God wants you to do to find out more about His will for your life, so you can grow and glorify Christ. More important than the need to attend church is the need to know where you will spend eternity. This is called  salvation

... About salvation

1) Everyone is a sinner.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
-Romans 3:23

* "ALL" INCLUDES YOU AND ME *

2) Everyone owes a sin debt.

"For the wages of sin is death; ....."
-Romans 6:23a

-This "death" is called the second death. This is eternal death.

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable,
and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and
idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake
which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the
second death."

-Revelation 21:8

-Do you realize that if you die without salvation, you must pay
the penalty for your sins forever?

3) Everyone's sin debt has been paid.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

-Romans 6:23

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life."

-John 3:16

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."
-Romans 5:8

-Notice that salvation does not come through going to church or being baptized but "through Jesus Christ".

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast."
-Ephesians 2:8

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

-John 14:16

4) Everyone can be saved. Although Christ died for
everyone's sins, not everyone is on their way to Heaven. You must personally receive God's gift to eternal life for salvation.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

-Romans 10:9

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved."

-Romans 10:13

-This is a promise from God!

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some
men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward,
not willing that any should perish, but that all should
come to repentance."

-II Peter 3:19

-God can't break His promise. If you want to be saved, simply believe and pray to God.

1) Admit that you are a sinner in need of redemption.

2) Repent (turn from sin toward God).

3) Believe Jesus Christ died for your sins.

4) Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and save you.

5) Believe His promise to save you.
